Bernd Beyreuther assigned as Head of Studio at SOFTGAMES
From August 1st, 2018, Bernd Beyreuther joins the team of Berlin-based SOFTGAMES Mobile Entertainment Services GmbH, one of the world’s largest developers of messenger games. As Head of Studio, Beyreuther will be responsible for the management of the in-house Game Studio.
More than 30 years of experience
Beyreuther created his first games back in the 1980s and has been active in the games industry since the mid-1990s. The founder and creative director of the Berlin-based studio Radon Labs (2000-2010) is known for the successful Drakensang RPG series. For 5 years, though, he follows his passion for mobile gaming and worked at studios such as Bigpoint or King. Most recently he acted as Head of Studio at the Berlin branch of South Korean mobile studio Smilegate.
“Thanks to the constant growth in messenger games, we can double the size our Instant Games team this year and at the same time add several senior positions,” says SOFTGAMES CEO Alexander Krug. “With over 30 years of development and team leadership experience, Bernd is the one to bring this expanded team together.”
SOFTGAMES has big plans for 2018: The team is currently working on five new titles for Facebook’s Instant Games, which will be released later this year under the SOFTGAMES brand.
